Acceptable Use Policy

Effective October 30, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to everyone who uses the QIT API, models, serverless GPUs, reserved compute and website (the “Services”). It forms part of our Terms of Service. Some third-party Models carry additional usage policies, which also apply when you call them.

1. Prohibited content

You may not use the Services to generate, upload, store or distribute:

  • Child sexual abuse material or any content that sexualises minors. We report such content to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement.
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery, including sexually explicit deepfakes of real people.
  • Content that promotes, incites or glorifies terrorism or violent extremism, or that threatens violence against people or groups.
  • Content that harasses, bullies, doxxes or defames identifiable individuals.
  • Hateful content that attacks people based on protected characteristics.
  • Content that infringes intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights.

2. Prohibited activities

  • Developing or deploying malware, ransomware, phishing kits or tools to compromise systems you are not authorised to test.
  • Providing meaningful assistance in creating biological, chemical, radiological or nuclear weapons.
  • Fraud, scams, impersonation, or deceptive content intended to mislead people, including undisclosed synthetic media used to manipulate elections or public discourse.
  • Unlawful surveillance, biometric identification or tracking of people without legal basis and consent.
  • Making automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on individuals (credit, employment, housing, insurance) without appropriate human review and legally required disclosures.
  • Cryptocurrency mining on serverless or reserved compute, unless expressly agreed in writing.
  • Sending spam or operating open proxies, or using the Services to attack, overload or probe any network, including ours.
  • Circumventing rate limits, safety filters, billing or account restrictions, or creating multiple accounts to evade enforcement or obtain repeated free credits.
  • Any activity that violates applicable law, including export control and sanctions laws.

3. Your responsibilities

If you build applications on QIT, you are responsible for your end users’ compliance with this AUP. You must maintain reasonable safeguards, including content moderation appropriate to your use case, a way for people to report abuse, and disclosure of AI-generated content where required by law.

4. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and remove content, rate-limit, suspend or terminate accounts, and report unlawful activity to authorities. Where practical, we will notify you and give you an opportunity to remedy the issue, but we may act immediately when necessary to prevent harm. See Trust & Safety for how we handle reports and appeals.

5. Reporting

Report violations to hello@qit.energy with “Abuse report” in the subject, including relevant request IDs, URLs or examples.
