Trust & Safety
Updated October 30, 2026
Generative AI is powerful, and it can be misused. We want developers to build freely on QIT while keeping the platform safe for everyone. This page explains how we prevent abuse and how to reach us.
Our approach
- Clear rules. Our Acceptable Use Policy defines what is not allowed on the platform.
- Safety by default. Image and video Models run with safety checks enabled by default. Content that sexualises minors is blocked and cannot be unlocked by any setting.
- Shared responsibility. Customers who build on QIT must apply moderation suitable for their users and give people a way to report abuse.
- Privacy-preserving review. We do not routinely review Customer Content. Automated systems flag high-severity abuse signals, and trained staff review only what is necessary to investigate a report or protect people from harm.
Child safety
We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM). We detect and block known CSAM, report apparent CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as required by US law, preserve evidence for law enforcement, and permanently ban the accounts involved.
Reporting abuse
Anyone can report content or activity that violates our policies, including people affected by content generated on QIT. Email hello@qit.energy with “Abuse report” in the subject and include as much detail as you can: request IDs, URLs, screenshots and a description. We acknowledge reports within two business days and prioritise reports involving risk to life or children.
Intellectual property
To report content that infringes your copyright or trademark, send a notice to hello@qit.energy including: identification of the work, the location of the infringing material, your contact details, a statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorised, a statement under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate and that you are authorised to act, and your physical or electronic signature. We respond to valid notices under the DMCA and comparable laws, and terminate repeat infringers.
Enforcement
Depending on severity and history, we may issue a warning, remove content, restrict features or rate limits, suspend or terminate the account, and refer matters to law enforcement. Where practical, we tell customers what policy was violated and how to fix it.
Appeals
If you think we made a mistake, reply to the enforcement notice or email hello@qit.energy with “Appeal” in the subject within 30 days. A different reviewer will look at the case, and we will respond within 10 business days.
Law enforcement requests
We disclose customer data only in response to valid legal process, such as a subpoena, court order or warrant, and we narrow overbroad requests. Unless legally prohibited or in an emergency, we notify affected customers before disclosure. Emergency requests involving imminent risk of death or serious injury can be sent to hello@qit.energy.
