Billing & Refund Policy

Effective October 30, 2026

This policy explains how billing works for QIT and forms part of our Terms of Service. Current rates are listed on the Pricing page.

1. How usage is metered

  • Model API: per generation, per second of generated video or audio, per character, per request or per 1M tokens (input, output and cached input billed separately), as listed for each Model.
  • Serverless GPUs and CPUs: per second of runtime, from container start to stop. Idle workers scaled to zero are not billed.
  • Reserved capacity and bare metal: a fixed fee per GPU-hour for the committed term, whether used or not, plus pay-as-you-go rates for usage above the reservation.

You are only charged for successful requests. Requests that fail because of a server error or are rejected by rate limits are not billed.

2. Payment

Pay-as-you-go accounts purchase prepaid credits by card. Usage is deducted from your credit balance in real time. You can enable automatic top-up at a threshold you choose. Enterprise and reserved customers may be invoiced monthly in arrears or in advance, with payment due within 30 days of the invoice date unless the order form states otherwise.

3. Free credits

New accounts that register with a business email receive $1.56 in free credits. Promotional and free credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred, expire 90 days after issue unless stated otherwise, and are used before paid credits. We may withdraw free credits obtained through multiple accounts or other abuse.

4. Taxes

Prices are in US dollars and exclude taxes. You are responsible for applicable sales, use, VAT, GST and similar taxes, which we add to your invoice where required. If you are tax-exempt or registered for VAT, provide your details in the console so we can apply the correct treatment.

5. Price changes

We may change pay-as-you-go prices with at least 14 days’ notice. Price reductions may take effect immediately. Prices for committed reserved capacity are fixed for the current term.

6. Refunds

  • Unused prepaid credits: you may request a refund of unused paid credits within 30 days of purchase. After 30 days, paid credits are non-refundable but remain available for 12 months from purchase.
  • Billing errors: if you were charged in error, including for failed requests, we will refund or credit the amount in full.
  • Service issues: remedies for downtime are provided as Service Credits under our SLA.
  • Reserved commitments: fees for reserved capacity and bare metal are non-cancellable and non-refundable for the committed term, except as stated in your order form or required by law.
  • Termination for breach: credits are not refunded if we terminate your account for a violation of the Terms or Acceptable Use Policy, except where required by law.

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 10 business days.

7. Disputes

If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact us within 60 days of the charge at hello@qit.energy with the invoice or transaction ID. Please contact us before initiating a chargeback; we resolve most issues within five business days. We may suspend accounts with unresolved chargebacks.

8. Late payment

For invoiced accounts, overdue amounts may accrue interest at 1% per month or the maximum allowed by law, whichever is lower. We may suspend the Services after giving notice and at least 10 days to pay undisputed overdue amounts.
